Surrey Police set up a roadblock on the m25 highway just outside London, England to catch Lee Adamson as he drove a stolen BMW on July 3.
Police officer Dan Pascoe was standing at the door of his patrol car when Adamson crashed into it. Pascoe was knocked off his feet by the impact, but immediately jumped up and chased after Adamson, who abandoned the BMW a few feet away and ran off.
Pascoe stopped him by firing a stun gun. Police spokesman James Baker said the incident was filmed by a video camera attached to another police car.
